These Terms of Use (hereinafter the "Terms") govern access to and use of the freemeet online dating service, available in particular via the freemeet.net website and its associated applications (hereinafter the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms in their current version. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Service.
The purpose of the Service is to facilitate meetings, exchanges and interactions between consenting adults. Any misuse (scams, spam, commercial exploitation, identity theft, etc.) is prohibited.
When creating or updating your profile, you agree in particular to:

By publishing a photo or any other media on freemeet, you warrant and agree that:
Photos and content may be analysed automatically (including with artificial intelligence tools) and/or reviewed manually for moderation, safety and fraud-prevention purposes. freemeet may delete any inappropriate media without prior notice.

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) forms an integral part of these Terms. You must not use the Service, directly or indirectly, to engage in, attempt, facilitate, solicit, promote, advertise, or benefit from any of the following. These prohibitions apply to profiles, photos, messages, links, and any other use of the Service.
Zero-tolerance prohibitions
The Service is strictly reserved for consenting adults aged 18 or over. Any account, content or communication involving a minor, or suspected of involving a minor, will be removed immediately.
If we become aware of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or of human trafficking or sex trafficking, we will immediately remove the relevant content, disable the account, preserve evidence as required by law, and report the matter to competent law-enforcement and child-protection authorities.
A violation of this AUP results in immediate account termination without refund, and may be reported to the competent authorities. You must report any suspected CSAM, human trafficking, sex trafficking, or exploitation of a minor via the in-app reporting tools or by emailing [email protected].
freemeet provides reporting tools and moderation mechanisms (automated and/or human). Given the volume of content published, prior review of all content is not guaranteed.
You are encouraged to report any content or behaviour that breaches these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy using the tools provided. Abusive or repeated bad-faith reports may themselves lead to sanctions.
Depending on the seriousness of the facts, freemeet may in particular: warn the user, hide or delete content, limit certain features, suspend or delete an account. Reports of CSAM, human trafficking or sex trafficking are treated as an emergency and lead to immediate action as set out in the AUP.
Some features may be offered for a fee (Premium subscription, credits, shop products, etc.). The specific terms of purchase, renewal, cancellation and refund are set out in the Terms and Conditions of Sale and, where applicable, in the terms of distribution platforms (App Store, Google Play, etc.).
Accepting these Terms alone does not constitute the purchase of a paid service.
The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which sets out in particular the purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention periods and your rights.
Promotional communications are subject to a separate consent and may be withdrawn at any time (unsubscribe link or account settings), without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on other grounds.
freemeet endeavours to ensure the availability and security of the Service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation, a complete absence of errors, or any particular outcome (meeting someone, a relationship, etc.).
You alone are responsible for the content you publish and for the interactions you engage in with other members, including off-platform.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, freemeet shall not be liable for users' content or behaviour, or for indirect damages arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited (including in cases of fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or harm to physical integrity).
You may request deletion of your account from the relevant settings or by contacting support.
freemeet may suspend or delete an account, after review where possible, in particular in cases of:
Where applicable, some data may be retained for a limited period for security, evidence or legal compliance reasons, in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Messages exchanged with other members may no longer be accessible after deletion.

freemeet may amend these Terms. Each version is identified (for example "1.2") and the corresponding text is retained.
In the event of a material change, you will be informed (in particular when signing in to the Service) and explicit acceptance of the new version may be required to continue using the Service.
If you refuse the new version, you must stop using the Service and may request deletion of your account.
These Terms are governed by Irish law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply in your country of residence.
